Integrating SAS/Connect with Java
نویسندگان
چکیده
SAS/Connect provides an easy and reliable method for connecting remote hosts and executing SAS commands on the remote environment. This paper explores the use of SAS/Connect in conjunction with the robust Java language. Various methods of integration with SAS/Connect will be reviewed, including dynamic program generation to create and run a web-based application, and the dynamic generation and execution of SAS/Connect programs to be submitted and executed on remote systems, such as OS/390 mainframes, Unix servers, and NT servers. The following will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.

Enterprise Application Integration: Integration and Utilization of SAS Products
The enterprise today requires many applications (from multiple vendors) concurrently running in parallel on multiple platforms. Managing these applications and the resources these applications require sharing data and meta-data across the enterprise, and integrating these applications for cross functionality has been until recently intractable. This is due to reasons such as inherent difference...

Given the growing acceptance of the Internet and Intranet as enterprise application mediums and the need for client-server computing using open solutions, SAS Institute has recognized the need to leverage existing SAS/AF® functionality to Java clients. This paper attempts to explain how technologies developed by SAS Institute allow clients written in Java to exploit the data and compute power o...
متن کاملAn Efficient Search Agent Software for Multi-Agent Systems
Multi-Agent Systems (MASs) have stimulated much interest in research because of the advantages found within such systems. They are able to deal with problems that are too large for single-agent systems, and are faster and more reliable. This paper examines how to use MASs in Search Agent Software. Examining how multi-agents function in a virtual system, the interactions between them and how the...

AppDev Studio 2.0 provides a drag-and-drop interface to produce Java-based thin-client applications using Servlet technology, as well as support for Java Server Pages (JSPs). Those of you who have created Java Servlets using the drag and drop methods may be somewhat mystified by the Java code generated. What is an import statement, and what is the function of those curly braces? And just how do...

Parallel SAS processes, multiple threads within a single SAS process, parallel SAS servers, distributed computing, grid computing, cluster computing – how might all of these choices affect the way that you develop your client/server SAS applications? This paper will address some of these areas and what you should understand when you develop or run client/server SAS applications in these environ...
